just rewatched MD
for the fourth time...wow, personally this is my favorite lynch work. questions for y'all this time around: 1. why do you think betty disappears right before rita opens the blue box? 2. how do you guys explain some of the more tangential scenes like the hitman screw up sequence / pool cleaner stuff ...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
question for profoundly disappointed support group, i enjoyed season three quite a lot (not without my own mixed feelings), but i'm curious: anybody here who hated parts 1-17.5 but loved the final 90 min? seeing as the last 90 min was so different from what preceded it and that the whole bob-orb seq...

Re: Nowhere to Go...but Home!
nothing to add but solid observation, 'nowhere to go but home' certainly seems like intentional foreshadowing especially if that line was repeated in season 3

Re: Calling all who think the original timeline is still intact
tiny bit more evidence for the idea that new timelines were created rather than the old ones being erased: fwwm jefferies scene: cooper seeing himself in the security camera, front desk saying 'jefferies was never here' both indicate to me that time is fractured by jefferies' time/space travel

Re: An explanation of the end of Twin Peaks that provides closure
"you can never save me" is the first satisfying idea of what Laura whispered to Cooper that I've read so far, good job!

Re: The deceased dugpa spoiler thread's partial mirror
^there was a 'rumored' scene of hawk, Betty, and the log lady at a bar that was not the roudhouse, but I remember when it was posted it sounded like it was meant to be taken with a grain of salt, maybe that's what you are thinking of

Important JUDY Related Observation
as others have pointed out, 'Jao De' can be translated as 'to explain', certainly the true evil force of the twin peaks universe. 'Jao De' killed the mystery of laura palmer, the goose laying the golden eggs. mystery = the heart of twin peaks, while explanation = the true killer in the sequence wher...

Re: Part 18: something's bugging me...
Dale Cooper "became" Richard at some point after he & Diane drove past the 430-mile mark 1. He's clearly confused about the names Richard and Linda 2. We sort of overlook the fact that he introduced himself to the owner of 708 33rd Street as "FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper" S...

Re: Part 18 - What is your name? (SPOILERS)
I wonder if more "closure" scenes were filmed for some of the other stories? And they were eventually cut to give LESS closure? I know a scene was filmed with Jacoby and Nadine in a restaurant (maybe a date)? And more scenes with Red & Shelly? So maybe more with Becky/Steven as well? ...

Re: Part 18 - What is your name? (SPOILERS)
new observation: anyone else think that sarah/whatever is possessing her smashing laura's picture might have actually caused laura to disappear from dale's grip / scream in the woods? the way the sequence of events is presented to us is 1. dale intervenes and pulls her out of her original timeline 2...

Re: S3: Biggest Disappointment About Unresolved Subplots?
honestly, only one thing: who was bad cooper speaking to on the phone in episode 2? why were they trying to kill him? why did this person want to 'be with bob again'? would love to hear some theories on this

Re: Part 18 - What is your name? (SPOILERS)
and one more quick comment: i'm surprised about how little of people's interpretations about the ending involve laura coming to grips with her abuse, since that was the focus of her whole character arc in FWWM imo AND because of how violence against women was such a huge theme in TR . so much talk a...

Re: Part 18 - What is your name? (SPOILERS)
An observation of mine that i have not seen voiced yet: I've seen several people say that cooper seemed careless or unethical and ultimately un-cooper-like with his gun pointing and curtness with the waitress and cook in the judy's coffee shop sequence, but i actually interpreted that as him being v...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
As much as I haven't "gotten" the Dougie scenes, I honestly would have preferred an entire season of that shit over what they pulled this week. At least then I could have rewatched it and tried to pull some meaning out of it all somehow. But just suddenly snapping out of it like that comp...
