Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

Absolutely. Black and white (or sometimes just a nighttime scene in colour) can hide it more. I think Hitchcock (and maybe some others) clung to shooting in studios even when others began to move away from it, as the environment was easier to control. These days you only really see fake-looking out...

Re: Season 3 Production Schedule

Great work. When were all the interior Roadhouse scenes shot and were they all grouped together (the performance, the conversations, Audrey's dance, the James/Rene scenes)? Also curious about the Alicia Witt scenes, etc. I’d love more info about the Washington shoot dates. Sadly, the first few week...

Re: Can someone please briefly explain to me how set scheduling working in film production?

Thank you, wow the work you guys do is incredible! So, is the reason why they couldn't just ask for more time because of budget constraints as well? I know that actors schedules play a large role in it too, as you can hersa them say something along the lines of "We'll pay (Richard Beymer) more...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

Most outdoor stuff was historically shot in studios in the B&W era in Hollywood. The entirety of Casablanca was shot in studio. Once color came in, the fake nature of the sets became a lot more apparent and location shooting became more common.

Re: Can someone please briefly explain to me how set scheduling working in film production?

There’s a difference between locations and sets. When he talks about “the Fireman’s,” that was a location (a real movie theater in LA, also used in Mulholland Drive) that they only had booked for two days of filming. Here’s a “production schedule” I attempted to put together based on the dates in th...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

keep in mind that all of these folks, in addition to being members of TP world, are also just fans of Lynch in general as we all are. I was thinking this too. In addition to being excited to see a new Lynch project (as we all are), they have the added potential benefit that maybe he’ll cast them! T...

Re: March 25th or March 27th (25 Years Later)...Or another date?

The wonky way Lynch is counting down to the New Year on his weather reports made me think of this debate! As an example, this morning, he said there are three days to 2021: December 29, 30, and 31. It drives me crazy when people count like this because it’s inaccurate. But it does provide yet anothe...

He’s home for the holidays maybe and was in the neighborhood? I know he grew up in the area. Both his parents are deceased, but maybe he was visiting other family?

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

Thoughts on what this part means? Could Netflix not want their involvement announced yet and threatened legal action? Is there a Showtime-style dispute? Have they dropped the project? Were they never actually involved? Meh, who knows. I would imagine studio space would not have already been booked ...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

CBS/Showtime definitely didn't have any of the FWWM rights to begin with, but eventually bought or licensed them. That is one of the reason's why it took so many years for The Missing Pieces to become a reality. M2 owned all rights to the film, but it was probably worth more to CBS since they could...

No. I think the weather reports are completely idiosyncratic, and I never read much into them, as much as I enjoy them.

Re: SPOILERS: Inconsistencies in the Secret History of Twin Peaks

In TFD, Mark also takes advantage of the fact that Dougie does indeed appear to be wearing a jade ring in all his series scenes! It's weird how he could remember something like that or rewatch it and notice it and then make use of it, but forget/not notice the whole Vivian thing, as you pointed out...

Re: SPOILERS: Inconsistencies in the Secret History of Twin Peaks

Dougie Milford! Speaking of which, in reading about the books, it seems like he became a very interesting character! Yeah, I really enjoy what Mark did with him. As a sort of “blank slate” character whose backstory could be filled in, Mark really took him to some very fun places. He’s really the ba...

Re: SPOILERS: Inconsistencies in the Secret History of Twin Peaks

Lol. I also thought perhaps Hawk and Lana get together - he was quite taken by her! That was Hawk’s worst moment in the series. I always hoped we could meet his girlfriend, Diane Shapiro, PhD. So many mysterious Dianes on this show. No, Lana goes on to date Donald Trump and a bunch of other rich pe...
