Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

Where I am on the spectrum personally, is that I think that there definitely is a new Lynch production happening (key piece of evidence is that Sutherland stated that they would have been in production on something if not for the pandemic-delay), but I don't think it has ever had anything to do wit...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

Bit surprised to see the NIN kick-back. I thought that some of the songs felt .. not throwaway, because I loved the majority of them, but, most of them served purely as a 'here's a little denouement into the credits for some semblance of episodic structure'. But, the NIN's one felt hand-in-glove wi...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

Are the hopes of getting the announcement this week based solely on the Blue Rose Magazine tweet, or was there something else that I have missed? Also, as Mordeen already pointed out, the tweet says June 10, 2022 . I suppose that is a mistake, because it contradicts the rest of the tweet, but a fun...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

To be specific, they write "the announcement" and not "our announcement". Oh shit. Still unlikely that they are announcing a new season/show to the world Again, no where is this implied. If The New York Times does a live blog and tweets "follow us for the latest on Blah Bla...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

I’m currently watching a Dutch show called Undercover and if they wanna cast Philip Jeffries they should cast Raymond Thiry. https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTyUdZuwfb9g8JgRZlNvQ2MRj8gffuO-PKAxA&usqp=CAU He actually looks like a mix between Ray Wise and David Bowie Well now...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

WOW JASPER WOW. My socks are on fire. That is quite something. I never knew of this song. It’s great. It gives us wind blowing through the sycamore right out of the gate, and the detail that when the singer/narrator closed her eyes, “lullabies sang through that old Sycamore tree.” The motif of the ...

Just going by memory, the line is something like, "But something's happening, isn't it, Margaret?"

Re: What Twin Peaks storyline(s) did you like the most?

The Mill stuff is ENDLESSLY convoluted. It's the thing that I care the least about understanding, followed by the moves of the Cooper/Earle chess game, which I don't think makes sense anyway. For me the mill stuff is there for color, and all of the particulars don't really matter. The cosmic relati...

Re: Least Favorite Storyline in Twin Peaks

I’m with Agent Earle in this one. To me the Ben Horne Civil War storyline lacks any suspense or real dramatic tension. And it’s attempt at humor falls as flat as Michael Cera doing a James Dean imitation . It's a Marlon Brando in the Wild One impersonation. Maybe that will help you enjoy it more. :...

I can’t remember, was this referenced before? https://uspto.report/TM/90225363 Looks like an application in Sept. 2020 to trademark the TP title for purposes of “board games, darts, dolls and plush dolls, toy model hobby craft kits composed of plastic, vinyl, resin molds, toy vehicles, yo-yos, ball...

Re: How would a Twin Peaks movie in 1992 have fared if it was a direct sequel Instead of a prequel?

I think a sequel movie would have fared much better. Bad Coop reveal was one of the most brutal cliffhangers ever. I think hat's the main thing that people wanted to see addressed, and part of why a lot of people were upset by the film. I don't know if they'd have kept bad Cooper for an entire film,...

Re: What is your Twin Peaks unpopular opinion?

I remember people around the time of broadcast talking about the scene as though it was a conventional love scene, and that it’s disturbing quality was the inadvertent result of the mismatched pairing and Lynch’s bad direction. OK, now that interpretation is just objectively wrong. As far as ...
