Re: Lara Flynn Boyle Blogs Twin Peaks

Hi Audrey Horne! Thank you, that's very kind. You know, it's serendipitous that I got an email about a topic post today. I'm getting ready to move, going through all my things once again and found that NYT Twin Peaks article you photocopied and sent to me. I don't remember the circumstances around t...

Lara's Disappearance from the Web

Wow! I sure haven't been here in a long time. Some hurtful things happened to me over the last several years and I sort of limped away for awhile. Then I got a topic update by email today. Lara Flynn Boyle. She sure did make things hard on herself and has sort of become this laughing-stock figure fo...

Re: 20th Anniversary Art Exhibition & Product Release

Ooops! I meant I got one of #10 (that sold out), not #1. It was a hard, hard decision too.

Re: 20th Anniversary Art Exhibition & Product Release

Can't say in words how happy I am that I'm following Twin Peaks Archive on Twitter and caught the link for this sale - I didn't know about the other things or the exhibition until I came here a few minutes ago. I thought it was just RB's photos. I could only afford two - snagged one of the sold out ...

Re: Hiss by Jennifer Lynch

I thought both trailers (the one on the main page having a lot more quick cuts between scenes) were very evocative and exciting. I'm a little worried though that Ms. Lynch has overplayed her hand, that the trailers seem to give away too much of the plot, not to mention showing the creature.

Re: Jennifer Lynch's Surveillance

Hi guys, providentially, I picked up the August issue of Rue Morgue Magazine last weekend and it had a really good review of Surveillance . It's a real shame I couldn't see this film on the big screen but it is available on DVD and at Netflix, now sitting at the top of my queue. I think my favorite ...

Thanks, Jerry! See, if I hadn't asked I never would have known.

Re: Russ Tamblyn's memoir!

I was posting about those Nike shoes and then I remembered this topic. I guess no one has heard anything about the book coming out?

Re: Nike to Release Twin Peaks Inspired Shoes

It's so sad that kid in the video on Page 3 doesn't even know what the show is, just "some TV show." He only cares that they're Nike SB's, I guess. Jerry posted about these on MySpace awhile back and I like 'em. I don't like Nike or their business practices, but even I have to admit these ...

Re: Last Film You Watched

Not yet, Jerry but it's in my Netflix queue. Spoilers below for 2nd X-Files movie - sorry, I guess there's no invisi-fonting here. Well, call me silly if you like. Perhaps the length of time it took me to see it, but I finally watched the 2nd X-Files movie today and wiped off tears seeing Scully and...

Re: Last Book You Read

I'm three-quarters through Stephen King's new collection of short stories, Just After Sunset , and this is not a collection dedicated to horror. Not at all. While most of the stories thus far have supernatural elements and a few horror, they are the visions of a seasoned writer who thinks much more ...

Re: Funniest moment in the series

There are two places where I laughed the loudest (that I remember right now): David as Gordon Cole - I would fall apart every time he was on. What an inspired character and also what an excellent job, totally unselfconscious, David did playing him: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6Eh7CJamGE Benjamin...

Re: Lara Flynn Boyle Blogs Twin Peaks

She allegedly called Lynch a pornographer and therefore wanted no part of the movie. Nice to see you again, brokentiny. I've heard that before but have no way of knowing if it's true or not. I can imagine her mouthing off, being young and that "meat and potatoes person" who's not very sop...

Re: Lara Flynn Boyle Blogs Twin Peaks

I must say, I'm having the opposite reaction of most of the folks here. I've now swung in the direction of liking Lara again after reading her blogs. I mean, maybe she is a bullshit artist supreme, but my gut isn't telling me that. She writes just like what she says she is and has already been quote...

Re: I'm surprised no one ever talks about Billy Zanes...

I don't know. It seems to me that he was just too good to be true. Dudley Do-Right of the Mounties in the middle of all that mystery and darkness. It's like Hamlet's line, "The time is out of joint." I mean even his name, John Justice Wheeler. I felt like every time John smiled, all he nee...
