Re: Freddie's fight scene in part 17
01) What does everyone think would have happened if Freddie had failed? I worried for Cooper and others in the moment but I'm not even sure what dangers BOB posed, exactly. We've seen him possess people and entrap souls in objects. In this scene he was operating on a more base level, physically att...

Re: Freddie's fight scene in part 17
I would actually say that Nadine's super strength was introduced in Episode 2 when she bends the rowing machine. Okay, fair enough, where did Nadine's super strength come from, and why, what purpose did it serve? We all know the story behind BOB; that he was introduced by "accident" becau...

Re: Freddie's fight scene in part 17
Hopefully we can stay on topic without getting personal. It's a discussion forum after all where a difference of opinion is a good thing. Would Nadine killing off Bob in the original have felt like a suitable finale? Probably not. I don't see how Freddie with the green glove is more appropriate. Bo...

Re: Freddie's fight scene in part 17
It's easy to over-intellectualize things. I read one comment earlier in the thread where the poster suggested that one must do as Dr. Amp says, dig yourself out of the shit, to really learn to appreciate the greatness of the Return :) It becomes a little far fetched. At the end of the day, it's all...

Re: Freddie's fight scene in part 17
Personally I think that the fireman in MLMT has nothing to do with the Fireman in TPS3, but I could be wrong. Maybe the deeper meaning of Fire Walk With Me denotes a path that leads to Him? Hmm? Him? Or Home of course.

Maybe some of you remember the repetitive boxing match on Sarah's TV? Maybe it is unrelated?

Re: Freddie's fight scene in part 17
Actually, the more I think about it the more this thought feels spot on, to me: the blue box in MD has the same connotation as the green glove in TPS3 - it facilitates a passage to another realm, to another stage of awareness (if you please). In TPS3 I recognise 4 stages of awareness: 1. vegetable (...

Re: The Random Season 3 Thread
Sooner or later, it had to happen ... So yeah, the cow jumped over the moon again, and … you guessed it, the cow was naked.

Re: One year later - how are we feeling?
My own TP 3 "One Year Later" piece on my own website. It's more about appreciation than interpretation and goes into some storytelling and filmmaking analysis that hopefully isn't too dry. http://www.theconstantbleeder.com/2018/09/05/twin-peaks-season-3-is-god-pretty-much-or-thoughts-afte...

Re: What's next? What chance do think there is we will see a season 4?
A very long long time ago, there was a little boy, whose grandmother died. So he went upstairs to the attic where he found golden seed, which he planted in his wet bed. Well, you know the story. He finally met his grandmother again, didn't he?

Re: What's next? What chance do think there is we will see a season 4?
Both Dale Cooper and Laura Palmer persist in a place where dreams are shared. It is ... it's where the living can meet the dead. There is no band, no. There is and was not ever even Twin Peaks. So slide in that disc and watch it, again, and again, for ever more ...
