Re: RE: Re: Cooper's conversation with The Fireman in episode 1 (linear and non-linear approaches)
The missing FBI pin is probably just a continuity error.. I sincerely doubt that the first scene of the season - a scene all about clues and being alert, would have such a glaring continuity error in it. i agree. it seems that Lynch payed special attention to the pin when directing the series, it's...

Re: RE: Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
Although TR was quite a mess overall, and 17 and 18 didn't remedy that (i.e. no conclusion to characters like Sarah, Red, Becky/Shelly, etc) I still thought this was a great ending on its own terms, as a mindfuck Lynch movie. Albeit, Green Glove Man and Bouncing-Ball BOB was possibly the worst exte...

Re: Part 18 - What is your name? (SPOILERS)
I was firmly in the profoundly disappointed camp for most of the season but last night was special for me. I simply cannot get that final image of Coop's face while Laura is whispering to him out of my head. Lynch was forced to reveal the mystery of who killed Laura Palmer but he left us with the my...

Charlie's use of the word threshold for the door stuck out to me.

Re: RE: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
Popping in for the first time in a while. I've actually been enjoying the show and look forward to the last few episodes, but I still count myself among the profoundly disappointed. As others have said, it's very obvious that this is a 9 hour story blown out into 18 hours with some amazing stuff (I'...

Apologies if anyone already mentioned this but didn't the continuation of Dougie partying with the Mitchum brothers the next day contradict Dougie playing baseball with Sonny Jim in the last episode, at least from a continuity perspective?

What a show. The funny thing is I despised Part 6 and had many problems with the show up until now but I LOVED this part. What a ride. I was riveted.
BTW, the CC referred to the gotta light guy as The Woodsman

Re: RE: Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
Is this the thread for criticising other viewers for having different experiences? Cool. For a moment there I thought it might be the place for criticising the show. What a faux-pas I nearly made! So: you want to hear about my criticisms? I don't have any. Personally I think both sides could word t...

Was the Bad Dale involved in moving product? Beyond the coke in his trunk I honestly can't remember. I don't know if we have the scope of his criminal empire but one could assume he or Jeffries(?) are tied to Duncan Todd/Patrick Fischler in Vegas. It would not shock me if Red is connected to the do...

Re: RE: POLL: Kyle MacLachlan is an Excellent Actor - TRUE or FALSE?
Have to agree. In spite of some lingering misgivings I've had with the show, Kyle has completely sold everything he's been asked to do. Usually when an actor is covering a ton of ground it tends to make me think of them as an actor acting (rather than the character) and pull me out of the show/movie...

Re: RE: Very rare video from the set of Twin Peaks released!
This is really cool, particularly that they're filming Episode 29 at the time. Interesting watching Lynch express his thanks for them helping to bring the show back while he's in the midst of creating what sometimes felt like a giant FU to the network.

Re: RE: Re: Theories & Speculation (SPOILERS)
Wild (and wrong) theory that I woke up to: Cooper is in a coma and the Rancho Rosa stuff is a dream he is having on his way to regaining consciousness. Truman is watching over him. Hey, Jerry Horne. How do you know that your theory is wrong? Maybe the Rancho Rosa stuff is a dream. Gerard's "Wa...

Re: RE: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
I think the bad reviews of FWWM were biased knee jerk reactions, and I think the positive reviews of S3 are the same in the opposite direction. We have a hipster pseudo-intellectual pop culture now where we didn't when FWWM was released. It's was a different time. To each their own though. I probab...

Re: RE: Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
I think he's a 70+ year old man that obviously (and unfortunately) doesn't have the ability he once did to write and direct at the level he used to. Even when Lynch was accused of writing incoherent stories and making incoherent movies there was a something there that resonated with the viewer. Not...
