Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this? Wisteria/Unrecorded Night? Something else? (Speculation thread.)u

Yeah, I saw INLAND in 4K yesterday, and it was very much in line with LateReg’s description. Background details like flowers and trees are still blurry, all the jagged digital edges are still there. But less crushed blacks, more balance and nuance, and some great detail in all those extreme closeup...

I haven't been a prolific poster on here, but I've been on here since the near the beginning (lost my old account sometime along the way) and agree we gotta keep this board going in some form. Not a fan of the subreddit at all.

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

Maniac is such an "only on Netflix" show. Who else would get such a high budget for something so esoteric/meandering, limited with no prospect of sequels, and not based on an existing IP. It's also rather great. Minor nitpick, Maniac was a loose remake of a Norwegian show, so it was an ex...

I personally think a lot of it just has to do with the videos being very informal and shot on webcam/phone, in often very unforgiving light

Where did Dumbland premiere?

I distinctly remember there being maybe two or three episodes of Dumbland already released on some website before the launch of DavidLynch.com, where it had its home for years after. Am I crazy? Am I Mandela-effecting myself? Does anyone else remember this?

Re: Part 15 - There's some fear in letting go (SPOILERS)

The quiet didn't throw me, but good goddamn Stephen mumbles.... I watched with the captions on. He tells her he loved fucking her and he loved her c***...that is a quote and I an not making a vulgar joke. As much as I've come around to loving this show, that's the kind of stuff that drives me up th...

Re: Part 13 - What story is that, Charlie? (SPOILERS)

I am not an expert but wouldn't the guy in charge of adding the reflection look at the normal footage first, then add the effect, then re watch the results at least once? It feels like a big editing mistake if it's a mistake I didn't notice it at all so I don't know how big a mistake it is. We've h...

Re: Part 13 - What story is that, Charlie? (SPOILERS)

Did anyone notice anything odd about Audrey's reflection? I thought something was off on my first viewing, before knowing about Ed's reflection. It immediately caught my eye. I thought maybe they used a stand-in for her reverse-shot, until I saw the thing about Ed's reflection. Now it seems like it ...

Re: Part 13 - What story is that, Charlie? (SPOILERS)

Also, in the scene with Audrey and Charlie, "The story of the girl on the lake"= Laura? Wasn't it the story of the little girl who lived down the lane? Kinda made me think of IE. I might have misheard it because I don't have captions on, but if it is indeed lane instead of lake, I definit...

I thought I was the only one who noticed that it had a beak. Everyone mentions its frog and bug attributes, but it has a face like a bird!
