Re: General Discussion on the New Series (All Opinions Welcome)
No idea if this is the appropriate place for this (and moderators, feel free to move this as you see fit). Russian Doll on Netflix has a scene in the final episode where Odessa is in the name of a café that plays a role in the climax. No way that is not on purpose. And, the series is fantastic as we...

Re: Ray/Phillip Jeffries storyline
It’s pretty convoluted, that’s for sure. I still have doubts about how much L/F thought this kind of stuff through. In retrospect, it seems pretty obvious that Gordon and Albert were much further ahead of the audience than most of us initially assumed. For instance, given the Lois Duffy history, th...

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31 (SPOILERS)
At the beginning of the “Double R” chapter, Tammy says the motive for the old dossier’s misdirection re: Norma’s family history may have been related to a “high-level security issue.” Unless she’s implying that the Double wrote Cooper’s “Andrew Packard File,” I don’t know what this could be referri...

Re: Final Dossier Spoilers
Also it seems That Harry Truman is suffering from Cancer.Mr.C killed Briggs and Ruth Davenport and he is the owner of The Glass Box in New York None of this is particularly shocking, but use spoiler tags! While not shocking, it unfortunately confirms how nonsensical the whole "I want those coo...

Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)
Are we assuming that the big rock was a trap for Mr. C, and Richard is destroyed because he shares Mr. C’s DNA? If so, Mr. C sure was lucky to have the perfect guinea pig thrown in his path. Or did someone point Richard to the Farm? It’s never clear how he got there, and it seems like a pretty big ...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
And Miriam's last name on the envelope was confirmed to be a prop error No one ever provided conclusive backing for this. The most we saw here in the forums was a link to a post on twitter, however that post only contained another unverified claim from a commenter that stated confirmation had been ...

Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)
Sabrina got back to me on the Cooper age issue. It definitely seems to be a simple continuity mistake (which I won't be telling her haha), which is further emphasized by the case file picture I posted during the marathon. Just thought you guys would like to see! 2017-09-06_8-46-27.jpg But this will...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Satisfied Support Group (SPOILERS)
I've been stunned by the the Profoundly Disappointed thread - so hard to see what the dislike is all about. It's not, really. All you have to do is read. There are many claims in the dissapointed thread about eventual rewatches (not everyone there of course). If you are feeling that the show has be...

Re: Season 3 was incredibly mean-spirited (spoilers)
There's a very famous theory in literary history that all stories about doppelgangers are ultimately about narcissism. Not saying I completely agree with that, just floating it out there, because it can make for an interesting optic on TP. Honest question -- can we not apply this to the whole Gordo...

Re: Season 3 was incredibly mean-spirited (spoilers)
I didn't see any evidence in Part 18 that anything from Season 1+Season 2+FWWM was erased. Me neither. I think Laura's corpse literally being erased from existence is a piece of evidence that supports this reading. But I personally don't believe anything was changed in the original universe, either...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: a love letter to Profoundly Disappointed/Satisfied support groups (SPOILERS)
I share a lot of your frustrations. Right up until the finale I told myself that if I didn't like the ending I was free to love the original and fwwm on their own. Seeing the new ending has, I won't lie, soured me a bit on the whole world. I feel that all the Judy/fireman/frogbug stuff muddled the ...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
I keep seeing people talk about Cooper's "hero complex" being his downfall and this being some sort of moral lesson. I call BS on that. If he was driven by some sort of internal need to save the day (and knew he had the ability, via Jefferies, to go back in time), would not his FIRST impul...

Re: Season 3 was incredibly mean-spirited (spoilers)
Hmmm... I think they turned that trope on its head when Laura, coming out of Ghostwood figuratively and literally, got snatched away. I don't think the past can be changed in our reality where time is linear. Where time isn't working that way is in the other dimension, where notably the Red Room/Bl...
