Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
Twin Peaks is - or at least should be - more than Shakespeare. :) Seriously, of all the lazy retcons out there, "it was all just a dream" schtik has to be right down there with the laziest. And yet we've had Black Lodge dreams, giant dreams, fugue states in Lost Highway and Mulholland Dr....

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
Someone wrote "It is possible that any part in Season 1 or Season 2 could be written off as dream sequences. Although this would be fairly insulting to fans. " I think the easiest answer is that the entirety of season 2 was a dream, except for perhaps the senior droolcup/Giant sequence wi...

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
We have NO WAY of telling if the upcoming eps are actually meant to be the ending of it all, though, or if they're planning to continue past S3 (or past S3 and S4 if what they've shot will be split into a couple of seasons) even as we speak. Hell, for all we know, maybe some of the shooting already ...

Re: SPOILERS: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Showtime SPOILERS Thread
For all we know, it could be in October, November or December of 2017. 2017 is 12 months long, you know. No way of telling if TP will maybe air in the last month of the year, so releasing the trailer that early on might be killin' it.

At this point, though, it feels like we'll never "enter this".... God, this wait is epic.

Re: Which actors from the Original Series will make surprise cameos in Season 3 of Twin Peaks?
I was also very disappointed to learn MJA wouldn't be involved and had trouble imagining a Twin Peaks without him, but it's pretty absurd to even entertain a notion that Lynch would take any part in orchestrating a publicity stunt that involved him taking on rape/incest/murder accusations just so t...

Re: Which actors from the Original Series will make surprise cameos in Season 3 of Twin Peaks?
Would still love to see MJA reprise his role. Hear hear! One can never get enough of MJA, say I! (Glad I'm not alone in this sentiment :) ) Other than that, Heather Graham (Annie Blackburn), Michael Ontkean (sheriff Harry S. Truman) and Kenneth Welsh (Windom Earle) are all a must! I'll be VERY VERY...

Re: Recommendations for Watching While Waiting for Season 3
To summarize our discussion from my point of view: if anyone didn't see either of the movies and is planning to, please, for your sake, see the original. You can easily skip the remake and you won't be missing anything worth mentioning. Oh, and one other thing: the original ending is sort of the poi...

Re: RE: Re: Recommendations for Watching While Waiting for Season 3
Well, a recommendation going on the notion that there are far worse things out there is not what I would call a recommendation. Except I'm not making a recommendation, just stating the remake is not as bad as many people make it out to be. Fair enough. But saying the original is "better than t...

Re: RE: Re: Recommendations for Watching While Waiting for Season 3
I do hope, however, that you're referring to the 1988 Dutch original (titled Spoorloos) and not to the abomination that was its American remake from 1993 The dutch version is better but the remake is not the abomination everyone makes it out to be. There are far worse thrillers in the 90's. And Jef...

Boy, does someone simply have to have a final word on the matter. Really mature, I must say. But hey, look at it this way: by posting what I posted, I enabled you to engage in one of your (obviously) favourite activites - beating a dead horse over and over and over again. You should win some kind of...

Re: Recommendations for Watching While Waiting for Season 3
That sounds ace Ped! One of my favourite films of all time is The Vanishing. I agree with cow, a truly amazing film and one that haunts me for two decades since I first caught it! I do hope, however, that you're referring to the 1988 Dutch original (titled Spoorloos) and not to the abomination that...

Re: Which actors from the Original Series will make surprise cameos in Season 3 of Twin Peaks?
Okay. I obviously didn't know about your personal circumstances which are shaping your attitude towards MJA and Fenn. If you pronounced them on this forum in the past, I guess I've missed it. If that wasn't the case, you can be sure I wouldn't've used some of my argumentation when making my previou...
