It's a tricky problem. For the point of not sounding like I'm just bitching and moaning, Twin Peaks is usually mentioned for every new innovative television show as to how to avoid the trap of failure the further it goes on. Lost is the most obvious example -when it's reported on about losing its a...

It is really going to be released. I've spoken with the producer of the set. So far, all I know is that they have done new interviews and hope to include the Pilot. -B I'm glad for the new interviews. I really am. But if the complete mystery doesn't have the pilot, I won't buy it. In fact, if the c...

I just read an article where DL said IE was coming out on DVD in August. Can't wait. What a birthday present for me.

I tried it before and it didn't but tonight it did. Yeah! That was a good interview. DL has surprised us from time to time. This was one of those times when he really opened up and talked. it's great. Thanks, Annie.

The humor, among other things, was a pleasure to rediscover along with all the other elements of TP.

Well, I ordered some espresso, since I was out anyway, and got it and tried it and it is really good stuff. I'm going to read up on coffee tasting and come back and try to write a coffee gourmet style review. Please laugh.

The orange tinge was intentional on DL's part. He wanted to create a warm friendly atmosphere for the show so the film editors dialed in a little more red per DL. It's on one of the interviews or commentary tracks, I can't remember which.

Most people thought TP was "weird for weird's sake" and that was what turned them off. Of course. But I also think some of the directors and writers of the second season also thought just make it weird to make it Twin Peaks, and were completely missing the point of the original idea. I do...

I watched it on a big screen TV. I didn't see a problem with it. I watched ep 29 twice and I could see everything. There is a big difference between me and Dugpa. B- you indicate you've seen TP on other media, specially laser disk. I haven't. This is my 1st time to see Season 2 in 15 years so I have...

I feel your pain when it comes to the tech part of things. I can get all the Log Lady Intros though. I liked the interviews at the end of the last disk. There were more there than I would have thought. Comparing this disk to say Angel Season 5, I would have to say TP season 2 is on par with what is ...

oh no, no, no -my problem with parts of the second season (or giant chunks of it) is that it actually was becoming too logical, and much like the shows that you are saying it wasn't. Nice easy, by the books storylines -sitcom punchlines, fairly easy to read/define characters that come off as charic...

I posted this under the ep 29 compression problems thread. It is more appropriate here. Thanks for the support Red Room. At least some of us are open minded enough to trust the show as a whole to entertain and maybe even enlighten. I disagree that this writer or that director "ruined" TP. ...

Leo F, I couldn't disagree with you more. I don't see that that season 2 was as bad as you say. And when I've heard Frost speak in an unedited format, he is very complimentary of DL even as he acknowledges DL unique creative process. You might overthinking all this. Sloclub, I don't think you'll co...
