Re: Mark Frost & Fire Walk With Me
Frost's credit as executive producer always seemed strange. It implies he might have had some input/influence on the story or what content was explored, but realistically I think he was credited as such because he co-created the series and it seemed a more respectful credit than "Based on the s...

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
There always exists the possibility that there is an unreliable narrator(s) in play. Thought about this too. It's a bit of a long shot, but despite the obvious wealth of information the archivist has, it's possible he could be filling in some gaps or trying to get across a certain narrative, even a...

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
If it's not too much hassle, could anyone point me in the direction of the newly leaked pages? Been searching Google Books endlessly and can't find anything past Lewis' murder and some out-of-order stuff about Chief Joseph, Denver Bob and the Owl Cave petroglyph.

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
I was thinking - what was the source on the idea of Red Room appearing differently to everyone who sees it? Some interview somewhere... Engels? Can we now say that the concept has been abandoned by current canon? Lynch and Frost have each said it on different occasions, and I have a vague memory of...

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
2. Two years between the events of the show and the mysterious 1991 incident, two years between Laura's prophecy and present-day events. Huh. That's a really interesting observation actually! I'm still utterly confused about the 2016 dates on Gordon's memo/the box, but with this in mind it at least...

Re: Itunes Leaked Pages (Secret History) (Spoilers)
Also, have they retconned the original series to 1991 as page 7 suggests, or could it be another crime we don't know about yet? Hmmm... I haven't seen the rest of the book, but I have talked to someone who has- and they confirmed that the book does NOT retcon the original series date to 1991. That ...

Re: Itunes Leaked Pages (Secret History) (Spoilers)
Thanks a million, Jerry! Already mentions of Lodge spirits (which could possibly even include "the hooded figure" and "silent man"; the Guardian and BOB?), the ring and UFOs as we all suspected. But it's interesting how gold and alchemy have shown up again — so much so ...

Re: 'The Secret History of Twin Peaks' novel by M. Frost 10/18
I'm so pumped from that trailer, wow! I mean, Dougie Milford? That's unexpected, to say the least! Interesting that the Log Lady's maiden name is Coulson. I initially thought it was a mistake on Frost/the publisher's part, but it made sense when you see the date of the report is from the 1940s. And ...

Re: [Book spoilers] Cooper's situation: yay or nay?
So... did Laura ever write what Annie told her in her diary? I'm fairly certain it's not in the Secret Diary, she'd already given that to Harold when she had the dream. If it were written in her normal diary, one would think Cooper would have stopped at his own name and noted it. Perhaps Laura did ...

Re: Between Two Worlds - full transcript anywhere?
Here's a quick transcript. It's not formatted the best, but it's got all the dialogue from the Palmer family interview. If you'd like the actual interviews with Ray, Grace and Sheryl, I can transcribe those too. Some really interesting stuff here in hindsight. "Sometimes even much less than hal...

Re: [Book spoilers] Cooper's situation: yay or nay?
It's a really good move, especially since I've always disagreed with the 'Coop leaves the FBI, becomes the town pharmacist'/'Coop goes on a rampage' theories about season 3 (though I suppose there's room for the second option if he has indeed disappeared). That being said I can't help but make Star ...

Re: The Unorthodox/Controversial TP Opinion Thread
I dont know if it's controversial but I really dislike The episode 7 scene with Shelly and Catherine in The fire. And The "suspense/action Music" that plays only make it worse I agree about the music, but there's something absurdly funny about Catherine in that scene. She walks in on some...

Re: The visual aesthetic of the new Twin Peaks
Fire Walk with Me , on the other hand, had/has horrible colour grading. The greens are obnoxious and the reds are too blended/murky, to the point where Sheryl Lee's blonde hair almost looks green in certain lighting and the Black Lodge scenes/the MFAP's suit are purple. And the dark scenes are real...

Re: The Unorthodox/Controversial TP Opinion Thread
Oddly enough, I agree with all of these. Eric De Rey is a good and talented actor Eric's portrayal of Leo doesn't come off as wooden or amateur to me at all. His emotionless lines strike me as befitting a sociopath and his expressionless face is incredibly menacing. I personally see him as...

Re: The visual aesthetic of the new Twin Peaks
The fact he's shooting on digital doesn't bother me too much, considering how far it's come since his Internet/DV phase and Inland Empire . I think IE was a major experiment for him in many ways — visual aesthetics, lighting, cintemography, etc. as well as plots and themes, and he's become more suit...
