I have a vague recollection of that and remember thinking that was also some kind of joke, lol!

Re: Peaks Fans Top 10 TV shows

Funny you should mention Angels in America - I have it stashed somewhere for about a year, since I've heard about it, and have been meaning to give it a go, as the AIDS crisis and what it meant and caused in sociological terms, is something I'm deeply intersted in in recent years. But when I saw so...

Re: Peaks Fans Top 10 TV shows

I had The Plot Against America somehwere in the back of my mind, but the fact that it's as recent as it is managed to slip my mind. I'll check it out, but not before I give Treme a go - that's another Simon community show, looking into New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. I'm hoping f...

Re: Lars von Trier talks about Twin Peaks and David Lynch

Not sure if this fits best here or in the David Lynch subsection but thought it was interesting enough to post. https://youtu.be/pXWcl6OuVw8?t=1125 Begins at about 18:25 but have timestamped the link anyway. Great find, and great thread. I think Lars is underselling the thought behind it and comple...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

I'd be very happy for it not to be on Netflix. I really don’t get the opposition to Netflix. Yes, they’re a capitalist money-driven conglomerate, just like every other major film and TV production company. And sure, a lot of their output is garbage. But they take risks on niche talent, and if not f...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

It was just a scene that came to mind considering all the talk of artificial exteriors. I generally like Lynch’s lo-fi effects, but this is my least favourite, probably because it does not take place in any kind of supernatural or dream context (although with Twin Peaks who knows?). I don’t think t...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

The new Scream movie filmed their entire finale (including a recreation of the famous California house from the original, interiors AND exteriors) in a studio in North Carolina. I've read that movies like Hitchcock's "Marnie" and, perhaps more notably, "Camelot" were criticized ...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

I think "Unrecorded Night" is most likely a thing based on copyright receipts (I lean towards it already having been either completely or at least somewhat scripted or in treatment stage, though it's also possible it's still just in concept stage. Based on Production Weekly, I think it's ...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

Yeah, I never questioned the 200 day shoot IF this is going to be 13 mini movies or whatever hearsay. True Detective Season 1 was a 100 day shoot for 8 hours of footage. The Return was 141, as Jonah pointed out.

Re: Moira Kelly and The Return

I actually think “where they took the character” is on her to some extent. The narrative is that she was resentful of Fenn being the “sexy bad girl” and insisted on the cigarettes and sunglasses. Who knows if this is true or not, but most sources seem to agree. Doesn’t take away from her acting abi...

Re: Moira Kelly and The Return

I don't want to sound unfair, though, I like both actresses and what they did with the role. But it is a shame Moira Kelly wasn't asked to return... Maybe next time? I think LFB’s performance on the original is very underrated. She can be a little artificial/affected at times, but she has tw...

Re: Cast Member Stats

That was part 12. In part 14 his appearance was perhaps even more sparse: he only appeared in Andy's vision in the Fireman's place for 10 seconds. I had a feeling after watching part 12 that Lynch put that scene in just to make sure that we don't spend the whole episode without Kyle :D And it was a...
