Not sure if anyone else already commented on this but:
Mother/the experiment ejects eggs/plasma from a phallic appenditure, and as a response Mr Phallic himself, the giant, floats up to the ceiling and emits a golden glow in the shape of a uterus out of which comes the laura-globe.

Re: Gender in Twin Peaks: The Return (SPOILERS)
difficult to pinpoint Lynch. Mothers have certainly been 'the evil' sometimes...like in wild at heart. In Twin Peaks it was evil of fathers. Mother/the experiment ejects eggs/plasma from a phallic appenditure, and as a response Mr Phallic himself, the giant, floats up to the ceiling and emits a gold...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
Those of us that wanted a continuation of the series basically got stiffed in the process. tough luck because plenty of us who love twin peaks seasons 1 and 2 also love season 3. It depends not on wanting a continuation, but on what kind of continuation you wanted. I very strongly did not want star...

Geez. Most of the posters on this thread have been pretty fair and balanced in expressing their opinions. But what on Earth has LFB ever done besides getting some unfortunate plastic surgery? I just don't see how this kind of thing is called for. How about squandered her life opportunities and use ...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
If it wasn't 'The Return' and was just a pop up series I think more people would appreciate it for what it is... The trouble is, it isn't.. it is absolutely supposed to be a continuation of the original series... but there is nothing of the original series in it... even the original cast are not th...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
This has more to do with the viewer. In norway we have an artist called Aune Sand who is constantly ridiculed by the masses for his art which is defiantly romantic and free from any ironic distance or sarcasm. In many ways its ultranaive. There are aspects of Twin Peaks the Return that work in very ...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
The slight difference is that Twin Peaks originally divided the world into those who liked the show and those that didn't. The revival has divided Twin Peaks fans. Also, if you have zero interest in nostalgia, don't revisit your work of 25 years ago. Twin Peaks The Return also divide the world betw...

So much great stuff!
Thoroughly enjoyed cactus blossoms - Mississippi, Sharon van etten - Tarifa, the nine inch nails - she's gone, chromatics - shadow and james who delivered a totally earnest, blessedly void of ironic distance, beautiful 'just you'

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
I found the 2 wonderful reviews in AV and EW (also the one in the NY Times) to be the maybe most insightful written about season 3 so far: http://www.avclub.com/tvclub/twin-peaks%20...%20ion-259086 http://ew.com/recap/twin-peaks-season-3-episode-13/ Very appropriately they also represent 2 individua...

Re: Part 13 - What story is that, Charlie? (SPOILERS)
I have to say i found the James scene very deliberately void of ironical distance. It was a genuinely touching moment where he was singing to someone he is in love with and her reaction is beautiful. Such scenes are of course always easy to ridicule or mistakenly suspect as comedy. The scene was a s...

Re: Part 12 - Let's rock (SPOILERS)
I understand people's love of analyzing every minute detail, and far be it for me to rain on anyone's parade, but I really wouldn't put much stock into something like the phases of the moon. The original show was notorious in fan circles for showing close-up shots of the moon between scenes which w...

about part 8
Fantastic episode. Pretty sure this was mostly written by Frost as it reeked of the secret history of Twin Peaks. The delivery is pure Lynch though. This most amazing episode ever demonstrates for me why Frost/Lynch is such a perfect collaboration.

Bobbys look at the kid and his father after the shooting incident outside the double R is the best statement about american gun-culture ever made. The disgust and horror.

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
some thoughts after 12 episodes: - the Show feels much more focused than the original run especially season 2. It is only the Lynch/Hunter directed episodes of the original run, along with the movie, that has the same feel as season 3. - episode 8 is the best TP episode ever for me. What a powerful ...
