Re: my Inland Empire film paper
Ah yes, just refreshed myself on the Alice in Wonderland story. I see that the story is in Alice's mind while she sleeps, which I see parallels Inland Empire, Mulholland Drive and Lost Highway (as well as Wizard of Oz). The narratives are the anxious and sometimes tortured dreams or ruminations of a...

Re: six men getting sick
Hi gojikranz, welcome to the forum. I don't know how you would do this, but a good idea.
I see that this has now been removed from youtube for copyright reasons, one way to see it is on the Short Films. I seem to remember it on a documentary as well, I might be wrong.

Re: How would you rank David Lynch's films?
Which subject can be more wide and interesting :?: Is the subject about 'problems with identity'? If so, I agree with you. This is a vast subject. I haven't added my ranking of DL's films because, to me they keep changing depending on my mood or interest, but my usual favourite films are all the pe...

Re: my Inland Empire film paper
I have just read your paper and enjoyed reading it. I have re-watched the film and the strange thing about it, is, that it certainly seems to be a gorgons knot that can be unraveled somehow. In the back of my mind it seems to make sense, maybe it's the picking up of repeated lines and images through...

Re: New InTwinPeaks.com
Excellent work Charles! It reminds me of a top class publication we have over here in the UK called 'After the Battle' 'Then and Now'. I don't know if you have heard of it, I think it is an international publication? Anyway they have authors searching for the sites, as they are today, of famous phot...

Re: David Lynch Lime Green Box Set Discussion
I get the impression that we are seen as killjoys, because David Lynch can do no wrong and has gone to such a lot of effort. As far as I'm concerned, and being a killjoy, I'd rather he hadn't bothered as the existence of this set is just stressing me out! Yeh! and stress is not a good mix, not with...

Re: David Lynch Lime Green Box Set Discussion
I'm a little offended that you are implying that new fans are all a bunch of rich brats who just throw money away at will. That is of course not what I mean! New and/or younger buyer's have not already spent a lot of money on previous releases, so their budgets, as far as DL is concerned, have had ...

Re: David Lynch Lime Green Box Set Discussion
The deal with the studios allow for these films to only be sold as part of the Lime Green box set. That is unfortunate for many older fans, I was starting to feel that we, who have followed DL for many years, were being cut lose, that bridges to his old loyal fans were being burnt in favour for a n...

Re: David Lynch Lime Green Box Set Discussion
P.S.: I am not trying to start a row with anyone, as this has happened on this forum several times before leading to nothing. I don't understand, why do you suggest that you might be seen to be? I don't see a problem. You seem happy with this set and that is good. I really only wanted a good copy o...

Re: David Lynch Lime Green Box Set Discussion
The answer I come up with isn't pleasant for the loyal Lynch fan Yes, I have found that the recent marketing of DL's products not very fan friendly to say the least, not to those fans who have limited funds. A lot of us just can't afford to keep paying again for items we have already bought, someti...

Re: Alejandro Jodorowsky
I would say that, for me, he is more in line with the European surrealists of the early 1900's. I find him quite different to DL. They are more spiritual and colourful in a Spanish way. The use of bright colours in his scenes and very bizarre situations and worlds created for his characters, especia...

Re: Pre-Order the New David Lynch DVD Box - the Lime Green Set
Snikgrif,if this is the case would you mind paying 120$ for the deleted scenes of FWWM?I wouldn't (Although i would prefer if they were included in a Blu-Ray boxset). Well I don't know, I would if I sell all my other copies of Twin Peaks, I fell for buying season two part one from Germany, and then...
