Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
I'm guessing that there is an alternate reality/timeline aspect to the new Twin Peaks that may explain what at the moment appear to be significant continuity errors. That would be totally in keeping with the themes of the films Lynch has made since 'Fire Walk With Me'. The fact that Sheryl Lee and R...

Re: 'The Secret History of Twin Peaks' novel by M. Frost 10/
The old "Access Guide" that came out when the original series was on included bits of the history of the town as well as the history of prominent families (Palmers, Hornes, Packards). It also had lots of photos and illustrations. I wonder if this will be a vastly expanded version of that, ...

"Oh Diane, I almost forgot. Got to find out what kind of trees these are. They're really something."
Maybe?
Maybe?
Re: Animals
There's the little bird at the beginning the opening credit sequence, some ducks in the credit sequence, a raven (or some kind of black bird) in the episode where they visit the Log Lady's cabin, and Windom Earle's tarantulas in the second-to-last episode. There are also various stuffed animal heads...

Re: Simultaneous Tweets from David Lynch & Mark Frost
Digital imagery could bring back Bob -- if that's even the direction Lynch/Frost are going with this stylish gum. Marilyn Monroe was recently featured in a Dior perfume commercial, looking very much alive.

Re: If Twin Peaks WERE to be continued/concluded in some for
It seems to me that if Twin Peaks were to be continued at this late date, the likeliest method would be via a novel, perhaps by Mark Frost, who has written several. He'd have to get both Lynch's permission and collaboration on the plot, however -- and that's not the way novelists generally work (as ...

Re: Let's talk about MIKE
Isn't Mike's only goal "to stop Bob" (from stealing the "corn")? It seems he will do anything, even temporarily rejoining the Black Lodge and the Arm, to achieve that. Perhaps the ends justify the means for him.

Re: What if the mystery had never been solved?
It seems to me that Twin Peaks could never have been a long-running series, at least not without radical changes, whether the LP mystery was ever solved or not. I don't see how Cooper could have stayed permanently in the town without leaving the FBI, and maybe becoming a "quirky" private d...

What if the mystery had never been solved?
What if the mystery of "who killed Laura Palmer" had never been solved, as Lynch (and Frost?) preferred? Wouldn't Cooper have eventually been seen as incompetent? What would be his excuse to remain in Twin Peaks endlessly? Maybe the whole Leland possessed by Bob plot wouldn't exist, or wou...

Re: Twin Peaks Blu-Ray Sync issues (spoiler free tech thread
I have not had any audio sync problems with the blu-ray set on my LG player. Lucky I guess. I did have a problem (I thought) with Disc 1 -- the intense "electrical" flashes during the dream sequence in Episode 2 were causing my player to shut off. At first I thought it was a problem with t...

Re: the wind up bird chronicles
I've read several Murakami novels, and they all seemed Lynchian to me. They all take place in Japan, however. I'm not sure how they would translate to an American locale with American characters, or if Lynch would want to make a Japanese film. There are a lot of books that might make interesting Lyn...
