Re: Dennis Hopper Dying...

There was a picture of him in one of today's papers and it was so sad to see him looking so frail and ill. Very sad indeed.

Re: Interesting new tidbit of info re: Audrey & the finale?

Is it possible they might have shot the sequence with a stunt double. Understandable it wouldn't have been Sherrilyn since it sounds like it would be a dangerous sequence.

Re: Official Season Two/Gold Box release in UK/Ireland Thread

I have noticed Desperate Housewives have theirs on the DVD releases. ABC/Disney tend to leave their shows alone in that regard. The Alias and Lost DVD's are the same, although in the case of Alias, if you were to cut the recaps from that show you'd lose half of the running times of the episodes. It...

Re: Official Season Two/Gold Box release in UK/Ireland Thread

Has anyone got the UK season 2 DVDs yet? I got Season 1 when it was released but since I've already got the gold box (imported Dutch version) I don't think there's any reason for me to get Season 2. However, if Season 2 has the "Previously on..." and "Next on..." clips (like Sea...

Re: Why exactly did ABC treat the show so badly?

It's a shame the show ended up being made and broadcast in the early 90's because in many ways, the show didn't have the back up that subsequent serials (The X Files, Buffy, 24 and Lost) have had. The X Files and Buffy arriving on the heels of the expansion of the internet and airing on smaller (at ...

Re: Most frightening scenes in TP

Looks like the train car scene is winning the votes as most frightening scene, I agree that scene used to give me nightmares  There are so many images in that scene that just stick in your mind, what with Bob's screaming and Laura's face. Television has never been as scary as it was then. Pl...

Oh most definitely, you know it's just I hate it when my DVD's misinform me like that. :)

It's still a great collection though and does the series justice.

Re: Official Season Two/Gold Box release in UK/Ireland Thread

I bought my edition this week and haven't stopped watching it, although I did notice a fib, of sorts on the box, now it might be just me, but it claims that there is 2.0 Audio on it as well as the 5.1 mix, but the discs don't appear to give you that option, with the 5.1 being the only sound choice.

Re: Introductions

Hi there, been browsing here as a guest for the past few days, thought I'd take the plunge and register. I am a huge Peaks fan, my username is Albert Rosenfeld and my relationship with the show goes a long way. My mum and aunt were obsessed with the show when it was first broadcast here in the UK, W...
