Re: Beneath the Surface

Pretty cool in deed. Indie Sex has an interview with Dita Von Tease (sp ?). The Taboo section only touches on Lynch, but Rosanna Arquette talks about working with David Cronenberg on Crash and her missing lactation shots! Netflix has the Indie Sex DVD set. It's well worth the watch, and will point y...

Re: Sad

Just about every cinematic work has a few cringe moments for most people. Maybe Dune crossed a line. Nevertheless, there is a lot to love about it, including the filter-like device used to get those red/blue shadows. Patrick and the Pooch charging into battle made me want to die! Oh well, laugh it o...

Re: Soundtrack

Check out Chris Issak / Wicked Game. It has twelve tracks including two Wicked Game versions which come in at around 4:46 and 4:48. The 4:48 version is an instrumental taken from the movie.

Re: The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien

Jimmy is great as well. He's very talented, and quick just like Conita. Some of Fallon & Company's stuff is funny and brilliant. Though, just as much of it is bombing completely. Oh well, I think he's here to stay. I hear Conan started out a bit rocky too. I didn't start watching until 2001. Jay...

Re: Axxon N and the cigarette burn

AXxoN-N might refer to brain function. An electrical synapse arcing across neurons, like the light-bulb flash which briefly illuminates the dark room beyond the marked door in the alley, the way to the Palace? The letters oN are somewhat blurred in gray on the door, just like the faces of the couple...

Re: Help needed with new Lynch book

Wrapped In Plastic seems to be a pretty good repository of all things Lynch.

Re: Questions about the production of Twin Peaks

The DVD's might have this info in the commentaries. NetFlix has the first versions of the series.
Also, IMDB, Wrapped In Plastic, Lynch On Lynch.

Re: The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien

Conan seems to be transitioning OK. He said he's "...leaving childish things behind...", which is a shame. The NY audiences seem to have a harder edge for his best albeit sometimes cruel humor. I'm impressed at how many of the NY team moved to LA to continue working on the show!

Re: Dana Ashbrook sighting - The Pretender, season 4

It's fun to spot the Lynch-connection. Though, I don't follow actors so much, I prefer to be surprised when I trip over one. I admire Coffey's decision to get out and move on after Mulholland Drive, since he feels that it was such an un-top-ably great project. Ellie Parker is far from a masterpiece....

Re: Renee/Alice - Good Witch or a Bad Witch?

Witch is a loaded term to be sure. I'm not even going to try to touch what might be in the mind or heart of someone else. The script details are interesting. Though, be careful. As designed is often very different from as built. Arquette said in Wrapped In Plastic that she feels that Fred loved Rene...
