Re: "Do your palms ever itch?" All things Audrey
Have finally gotten myself geared up to read your alternative season 2 cooper/audrey subplot. Great so far. You guys should write a book (seriously)!

Re: Character vs. Character Development
Also, I'm comparing TP to current shows, which isn't fair. Character development on TV has come a long way in almost 20 yrs. TP was limited by its era somewhat. I should've said that earlier.

Re: 3rd Season and Leo
As far as I'm concerned, his character died in season 1.

Re: "Do your palms ever itch?" All things Audrey
When I first saw them both, I figured Wheeler and Annie were speedbumps: 1) They were simply guest stars; i.e. filler to fill out 24 episodes 2) I took Audrey's remark about when she gets older he'd better watch as foreshadowing the coupling would be revisited Thus when Wheeler left, I wasn't surpri...

Re: "Do your palms ever itch?" All things Audrey
Love this thread! I love AudreyHorne's analysis and look forward to more. Thank you!!! I've been lurking for ages and am compelled to post to add my hearty "ditto" to everything that Noiseless and AudreyHorne wrote about the Audrey/Coop chemistry. I tuned into the show during the initial ...

Re: Things I wish we'd seen...
I think there should have been some better side plots with mysteries. -Bookhouse Boys: Bringing people like Ed, Bikers, Hawk, and Truman into the fold and describing mysteries from old lore. I could see Hawk going to the White Lodge by taking peyote in a tee pee. -The biggest tragedy of the second ...

Re: Things I wish we'd seen...
Should've been revealed in a conversation between Harry and Albert that Diane was not a secretary for the FBI but a psychotherapist - the implication being Coop was just as unstable as Windom Earle; would've raised the stakes on their evolving showdown, since we wouldn't know whether they were both ...

Re: What Scenes take you out of the moment or make you cringe?
Another scene I liked was when James, Donna and Maddy were listening to the Laura tape and Laura says, "James is sweet but he's just so stupid..." LOL - you could just see her cringing or flinching when she said it, just thru the disgust in her voice. Great stuff!

-->I could see Joe Pantoliano doing an interesting interpretation of Dr Jacoby
-->Natalie Portman could be Shelley - she's a simple, innocent, flawless kind of pretty
-->Guy Pearce might make a believable Coop - he can be clinically logical yet likeable

Re: What Scenes take you out of the moment or make you cringe?
I agree. It's very challenging to sustain the degree of sarcasm Albert had in Season 1 and keep it on pt and funny without going too far over the top, so he was probably a major headache. I've read that the character on HOUSE has 3 or 4 writers doing his lines alone to strike the right balance of pu...

Re: What's your Top 5 scenes in the series?
I have a new second fav scene now - Audrey tightening the tie of Battis and making him say her name plus the impossibly condascending head whirl was so on pt to me. It was like she slapped him the face simply by turning her head, very powerful in a very subtle way. And yeah, the perfume counter scen...

Re: Animation or Remake with Real Actors?
Ok so it sounds like it's possible they could use the current actors to do the base filming and regress their ages thru the rotoscoping, but using actor doubles (so to speak) to fill in for the real mckoys and then remaking them thru rotoscoping would be unrealistic with the current technology. So I...

Re: What Scenes take you out of the moment or make you cringe?
To me that Albert revelation scene was just more poor character development. He goes from Dr. House to teddy bear in one scene? I definitely wanted him to have a redeeming side but cmon, let's show signs of humanity, not some sudden volcanic eruption of "I love you" - especially when his e...

Re: Animation or Remake with Real Actors?
Yep, not quite there yet cost-wise or technology-wise. Do you know how much control the animators have over changes to the original film?
