GOOD APPLE PRESENTS “IN THE TREES: ‘TWIN PEAKS’ 20TH ANNIVERSARY ART EXHIBITION”

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – January 26, 2011 — The 20th Anniversary of “Twin Peaks” (1990-91), the landmark television series created by David Lynch and Mark Frost, will be celebrated with a group art exhibition presented by production company Good Apple in collaboration with CBS Consumer Products on February 12, 2011 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Clifton’s Brookdale restaurant in downtown Los Angeles. The influence of “Twin Peaks” has been felt in many television shows which followed, but this exhibition demonstrates the series’ influence on contemporary visual artists.
Participating artists include: Glenn Barr, Tim Biskup, Scott Campbell, Amy Casey, Paul Chatem, Ryan Heshka, Stella Im Hultberg, Jessica Joslin, Alice Lodge, Chris Mars, Elizabeth McGrath, Margaret Meyer, Brooke Weston, Eric White, and Ashley Wood.
David Lynch has created a map of Twin Peaks which will be published as a special edition print for the 20th Anniversary. In addition, work by two artists who had acting roles in the series, Grace Zabriskie (Sarah Palmer) and Richard Beymer (Benjamin Horne), will also be shown.
The event will also mark the release of an official product line for “Twin Peaks.” Products include items from the town of Twin Peaks itself, such as a hotel stationary set from the Great Northern, shirts from Big Ed’s Gas Farm and coffee cups from the Double R Diner. A David Lynch-designed logo for the 20th Anniversary will also appear on merchandise.
The exhibition marks the first special event held at historic Clifton’s Brookdale since the restaurant was taken over by Andrew Meieran, the developer who created the Edison cocktail lounge. “Clifton’s is reminiscent of the show’s creative universe and captures the spirit of the show perfectly,” said Meieran.
The limited-run exhibition is open to the public from Saturday, February 12 to Sunday, February 13. Fans unable to attend the show will able to subscribe to the art preview and order products through the exhibition’s website:
